Dear Editor:

Coming to Honda dealerships across the country this December, the 2000 Honda Insight will be the first gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle available in America.

Utilizing Honda's innovative IMA™ (Integrated Motor Assist) hybrid power system in combination with a lightweight and rigid aluminum body structure and world-class aerodynamic design, the Insight is the world's most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered automobile. With the highest EPA fuel economy ratings ever recorded - 60 mpg city/71 mpg highway - the Insight is capable of traveling more than 700 miles on a single tank of gasoline. The Insight also meets California's stringent Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) standards, making it one of the world's cleanest and most efficient automobiles.

The enclosed press kit outlines the many new and advanced technologies that are incorporated into the 2000 Honda Insight. If there is anything further we can do to assist you in your coverage of this or other Honda products, please don't hesitate to call us.

Sincerely,

Art Garner
