Honda Insight Front Suspension
The Insight's independent front suspension uses a strut-type spring/damper
unit at each wheel. Special features of the system include:
- Hollow strut-damper rod Forged-aluminum steering knuckle
- Forged-aluminum lower suspension arm
- Both of the lower arm's inner pickup points are connected to the same
reinforced, cast-aluminum mounting bracket
- Lightweight aluminum wheel
- Stabilizer bar
- The front suspension geometry has been optimized to exhibit minimal
changes in toe and camber throughout its travel, giving the Insight
responsive handling, excellent stability and a smooth ride
